I discovered Hypnotherapy as a student. It was a required class which was part of my behavioral therapy studies. At that time I considered myself a ‘proof-centric’ therapist and only focused on methods and therapies that I knew scientifically  - would work.  Consequently, I didn’t place any value on Hypnotherapy because I couldn’t imagine that it would actually work……Until it did.

Like many people, I had to experience Hypnotherapy from the ‘inside’. Early in my studies, I had volunteered to undergo Hypnotherapy in class. Privately, I was nervous about having a difficult conversation with a particular person. During my Hypnotherapy session, I experienced the conversation ‘virtually’. After working through my fear from the safety of a therapist's recliner, the actual conversation I had later was much easier. Experiencing it during hypnotherapy had diffused my fear.

Not only did I embrace the chance to offer Hypnotherapy in my practice, but I’m pleased to add that today, the science supporting Hypnotherapy has grown exponentially, which now stands as a viable, proven, measurable and effective therapy for healing and change.
